In this category we present places that we recommend you to visit for different reasons,
some are strange, like the sun mirror in Rjukan, others inspiring, like the busy fish market in
Bergen or the historic lighthouse in Lindesnes - both because it was the first lighthouse in
Norway, but also because it is the southernmost point of Norway. We recommend
Gaustatoppen - a mountain top where you can see 1/6 of Norway - and where you can both
walk to the top or catch the amazing funicular and tramway inside the mountain. Visit
Vøringsfossen and the amazing walkways which brings you close to the spectacular
waterfall.

Rjukan is located in a narrow valley,
where the sun disappears in the city
in September and stays behind
Gaustatoppen until March each
year. To give the inhabitants a
glimse of the sun earlier, a huge
mirror was installed at a mountain
ridge at the northern side of Rjukan
in 2013.
