In the largest cities there are some museums with impressive collections of art, other with advanced interactive experiences. The iconic art museum building by Snøhetta, designed as an expansion to Lillehammer Art Museum in front of the Winter Olympics at Lillehammer in 1994 and further extended in 2016
A visit to the new Olympic Museum in Norway, which moved from Haakons Hall to Maihugen in 2016. The museum celebrates the two Olympic games that Norway have hosted, Oslo in 1952 and Lillehammer in 1994.
The Astrup Fearnley museum at Tjuvholmen in Oslo, was designed by Renzo Piano. It holds the largest collection of modern art in Norway including Jeff Koons' Michael Jackson and Bubbles statue and some of Damien Hirst larger works.
